We appreciate the request for material on our school and the interest that many have in preaching the gospel of Christ who reside outside the US. In order to assist you in knowing the proper procedure, and requirements for application, the following information is being provided.

Applicant must be a faithful member of the church of Christ. 

You must be able to provide for your transportation to the United States and back to your homeland after the two-year period of training is concluded.  You will also have the responsibility of obtaining a visa or governmental permission to stay in the United States for the two year period.  It will be necessary for you to contact the US Embassy in your country to see what is required of you. There will be a charge of $100.00 that will have to be paid at some point as you begin your application with the Embassy. Once all of that is taken care of, we will work with you through Sevis to assist in whatever way we can.

While there is no tuition for the school, you will be responsible for your living expenses while here (estimated at between $1,500.00 and $3,000.00 USD, depending on the size of your family) and approximately $100.00 per quarter for necessary books. You need to be aware that this is your responsibility.  We need to have a letter from the individuals or congregations who would be supporting you while you are in school here.  This letter should state the amount of monthly support they will provide. We can provide little or no financial help.

You will also need to be able to provide the funds to obtain an automobile, insurance, yearly inspection, fuel and repairs while in the US. BTSOP does not presently have dorms for students to reside in. Therefore, you will live some distance from the school facility. Preaching engagements would also require you to have an automobile available.

Once you have the necessary support raised you need to download the catalog and applications for the school from our Web Site (www.browntrailschoolofpreaching.com), fill out, and mail it to us. Once we receive it, we will send out references, so it is imperative that you send complete addresses for those that you list. 

After all of this is completed it will then be up to the US Embassy in your country as to whether you will be granted the entry Visa.
