Meet your speakers

Ross Haffner
Ross Haffner grew up in the state of Texas in a preacher’s family. He is a 2008 graduate of the Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, TX and has been preaching full time ever since. He is married to the former Summer Harris and have four children Norah (13), Rory (10), Rachel (6), and Libby (3). Ross is currently preaching for the Southwest congregation in Austin, TX and teaching in the Southwest School of Bible Studies.

Jeremy Sprouse
Jeremy Sprouse has been married to Erynn since August 1999, and together they are blessed with six children: Jaden, Isaiah, Isaac, Ean, Joseph, and Evelyn. He preaches for the Patrick St. church of Christ in Dublin, TX. Jeremy earned a B.A. in English, Mass Communications from Adams State University (Alamosa, CO), a B.Th. from the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver, and an M.B.S. (Master of Biblical Studies) from Bear Valley.

Jerrod Hammond
Jerrod Hammond has been married to his wife Brandi for 22 years. They have two children, a son-in-law, and a grandson. Jerrod is a 2023 graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching. He serves as a minister and elder at the Mt. Vernon church of Christ.

Preston McElyea
Preston McElyea serves as one of the ministers for the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, TX. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and a 2021 graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching. Preston and his wife, Autumn, have been married since 2019 and are blessed with two beautiful daughters.

Kevin Hahn
Kevin Hahn has been preaching at the Lake Houston church of Christ since 2005. He recently completed a Masters in Ministry at Freed-Hardeman University. He has done mission work in India, Austria, Ukraine, and Mexico. Kevin served as a Captain in the US Air Force and is a third-generation preacher. He and his wife Heather have been married since 1992 and have six children: Emily, Hannah, Caleb, Faith, Daniel, and Joshua.

Kevin Rhodes
Kevin W. Rhodes is the Executive Director of the Brown Trail School of Preaching, taking the school’s helm in 2018. Kevin is a graduate of Midwest School of Biblical Studies, the University of Central Missouri (B.S. in History), West Texas A&M University (M.A. in History). Tarleton State University (M.A. in Political Science), and West Texas A&M University (M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology). He is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program for Biblical Studies at Amridge University. He is the host of the television program Expositions on the Gospel Broadcasting Network and served as the co-editor of Sound Words with His father, Oran Rhodes. He has preached for more than 30 years in Missouri, Alabama, and Texas, preaching for the Granbury Street congregation in Cleburne, Texas for fifteen years. Kevin and his wife, Tracy, have been married since 1992 and have two daughters.

Caleb Griffith
Caleb graduated from Brown Trail in 2023 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Ministry. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Heritage Christian University in May 2025 and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinty (which he should receive by 2028). From 2017-2021, Caleb worked as a volunteer production assistant for the Give Me the Bible and The Truth in Love television programs. He also produced the Zeal for Your House blog, contributing over 100 articles, as well as the Zeal for Your House and From God’s Heart to Mine podcasts, recording nearly fifty episodes. Since 2022, Caleb has worked with Camp Ida Christian Youth Camp in Maud, Texas, as a counselor and teacher. He has guest preached for numerous congregations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee, and spoken on several lectureships and workshops, including Polishing the Pulpit (Branson, Missouri), Focal Point (San Marcos, Texas), and Make Me a Servant (Mount Vernon, Texas). He ministered for the Clark Road church of Christ in Duncanville, Texas, from 2023 to 2025. He is also the founder and coordinator of the Brown Trail School of Preaching STEP Program.

Neil Stidolph
Neil graduated from the Brown Trail School of Preaching in 2020 and began preaching full-time in 2021 at the Bowie Street church of Christ in Wellington, Texas. He graduated with his Master of Divinity from Heritage Christian University in May of 2025 and plans to pursue a PhD in biblical studies. Neil also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and an MBA from Freed-Hardeman University, from which he graduated in 2017. In addition to preaching full-time since 2021, he has also spoken on several summer series and gospel meetings and has served as a camp counselor at multiple brotherhood Bible camps since 2014. He began his work as an instructor at Brown Trail School of Preaching in June 2025 when he also became the new Dean of Students. Neil has been married to his wife, Alyssa, since 2022.

Each day during this workshop, you'll experience the preaching school's unique approach to Chapel!
This 2026 workshop is designed to be as practical and valuable as possible for elders and ministers.
Chapel provides direct answers that are immediately applicable, as it's a way of blending the main idea of a passage to a highly practical application without twisting the text into something it's not.
